Neodur Varnish is a transparent two-component polyurethane varnish available in both matte and glossy finishes, each with UV filters. These varnishes are designed for the protection and enhancement of various construction surfaces, including decorative micro-cement coatings, cementitious surfaces, natural stone, and vinyl flooring. They provide several advantages such as water resistance, improved mechanical strength, and excellent adhesion to different substrates. Additionally, the UV filters ensure long-term resistance to solar radiation and yellowing, making them suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The matte version offers a high-hardness finish with increased anti-slip properties, while the glossy version provides a high-gloss, durable finish. These varnishes are also well-suited for pool applications, offering enhanced resistance to chlorination chemicals and UV radiation, thus extending the life of epoxy coatings in such environments.

Surface Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface is stable, clean, dry, and protected from rising moisture.

Application:

  1. Mix the A & B components.
  2. Stir the mixture for about 3 minutes with a low-speed electric stirrer until it's well mixed.
  3. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes.
  4. Apply Neodur Varnish using a roller, brush, or airless spray in at least two layers.
  5. For better anti-slip properties, mix the final layer of Neodur Varnish with 1.5-2.5% of Neotex Antiskid M.

Special Notes:

  • High atmospheric humidity can affect varnish curing. If you're applying it outdoors, delay if rain or high humidity is expected within 48 hours.
  • You can dilute Neodur Varnish with Neotex 1021 solvent if needed.
