Step 1: Surface Preparation
- Ensure the surface is stable, clean, dry, and protected from rising moisture.
- Remove any poorly adhering materials, old coatings, and clean the surface using mechanical or chemical methods.
- Smooth out irregularities and open pores on the surface to ensure good adhesion.
Step 2: Priming
For Shingle Roofs:
- No primer is required for shingle roofs. The product can be applied directly on the shingles.
For Cementitious Substrates:
- Dilute Revinex with water at a ratio of 1:4 (Revinex:water).
- Alternatively, use solvent-based primers like Vinyfix Primer.
- Apply the primer of choice in one uniform layer and wait until it is fully dried.
For Metal Surfaces:
- Use Neotex Metal Primer as the primer.
- Apply the primer in one uniform layer and wait until it is fully dried.
Step 3: Neotex Neoroof Application
- Thoroughly stir the Neotex Neoroof coating before application.
- Apply at least two layers of Neotex Neoroof using an epoxy roller, brush, or airless spray machine.
- Apply each layer in a different direction than the previous one to ensure even coverage.
- Allow each layer to dry before applying the next one, following the manufacturer's recommended drying times.
Special Tips:
- Do not apply Neotex Neoroof in wet conditions or if rain is expected during application or curing.
- Use Neotex Neoroof only on exterior surfaces exposed to UV radiation, not indoors.
- In cloudy conditions, curing may take longer, and the surface may remain tacky for a while.
- To form a uniform waterproofing membrane on vertical surfaces, extend the coating at least 30cm up from the horizontal surface onto the vertical one.
